Let’s Play Music
Ms. Emily’s Studio Policies
Studio Standards
1. Parents may drop off children no earlier than 5 minutes before class and may come in when the sign is up and the door unlocked (I work hard to start and end on time). Please be ready to pick up your child when class is over. Be safe and watch for other children during drop off and pick up.
2. No gum, candy, food, or toys will be brought to class. Please give your child water and use the restroom before class.
3. Siblings and friends may not attend class. Please arrange babysitting for parent days.
4. Parents agree to read the parent materials and emails, attend class parent days (1st year, (once every other week, year 2-4, once a month), and assist your children in practicing at home to maximize the program's benefits.
5. Parents work with the teacher to elicit appropriate classroom behaviors as discussed in the orientation.
6. Let’s Play Music is a three-year progressive music curriculum. To achieve the full benefits of the program, it is anticipated that your child will continue in my studio for all
three years.
7. I agree to add the Google Class Calendar to my phone and/or computer and will email or text if my child isn’t coming to class.
8. I do you a gumball/skittles/quarter as an incentive for weekly practice.
Financial Considerations
1. You can pay for the year or semester upfront or monthly. I will take Venmo, check, or cash. If paying with cash please put it in an envelope with your name on it. There will be a $10 fee for a payment over ten days late.
2. If you have purchased a spot in the class it will not be refunded if your child misses class. If you drop out mid-year or before completing the three-year LPM program there is a $100 drop fee.
1. If you decide not to participate after enrolling, the registration fee and material fees are nonrefundable. (and materials will not be given to former student)
2. I work hard to maintain a safe teaching environment. However, the Let’s Play Music program does involve physical movement by registering in the program you, the parent or legal guardian, accept full financial reliability for any accident or injury that could happen to your child, yourself, or any guest accompanying you while in my home or on my property and release Emily Wollenzien, Merlin Wollenzien, and all their heirs and connections from all liability.
I appreciate you choosing my studio for your child’s musical education.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
